My Lord is a God of new beginnings. It’s never too late to turn away from your ways and seek God’s restoration in your life. One thing I’ve notice as a young man living for God, is that everyone, from the biblical figures of old all the way to modern believers in our day, encounters the process of unseemly desire leading to sin then repentance and restoration. We have to fight! This battle is not won by self-will and lukewarm prayers! No, it takes undying devotion through prayer, fasting, praise, worship, and reading your Word! The enemy simply does not want people to come to know God or get higher in their walks. But we rebuke Satan, in Jesus’ name! So my encouragement to you is to hold on to the faith with all you have! If you fall, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep running this race! Do not let your guard down for one second and let Satan get a hold of you! Do not simply continue to do work for the Lord, but neglect your relationship with Him. Return back to your first works, and fall back in love with what Jesus Christ did for you on that cross! Amen!
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. (Psalms 51:10-12)
“I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. (Revelation 2:2-5)
