The Most Important Thing in the World…

The most important thing in the world has nothing to do with what we can personally amount to, attain, or achieve here on earth. That career, that beautiful family, that wonderful marriage, that house, that car…all of these desires are secondary compared to life’s true purpose. We were created to revere God and to glorify Him in all that we do! The mistake so many of us make is to be temporally minded, confusing God’s desire for His most valued creation to mean that He wants us to have the best life here, now, on earth. I’m sorry, but that’s not true! God has a glorious kingdom that He is waiting for His people to inhabit; Christ says He went back to prepare a place for us! Have an eternity mindset! You are just here for a short time. Don’t get caught up in your earthly desires and miss the whole purpose of this temporary dimension we are presently in. Build a true relationship with the Creator of all things! Do the will of the Lord and desire to see Him on that most glorious day. God bless!

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14:2-3)

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)

Limitless God

We limit God so much. Oftentimes it is said that “God can’t do this” or “God is not like that” or “God wouldn’t do things that way.” The supreme majesty of God transcends our meager human wisdom and understanding. You could be the smartest person in the world, yet your knowledge is one grain of rice compared to the unsearchable knowledge of God. For instance, some question the triune nature of God asserting that He can’t exist in that form. Why not? God can literally do whatever He wants! (see Psalms 115:3). In the book of Job, Elihu says if God determined it in His heart to gather to Himself His spirit and breath given to His creation, all flesh would perish and we would return to dust (see Job 34:14-15). Those scriptures made me marvel at the unparalleled providence of God and realize that we always think we are in control when at any moment God could shift things entirely. In order to fully comprehend our intended relationships with God, we must first humble ourselves and understand there is ONE that is far supreme and higher than we are.

Your life is not your own, stop living for yourself and begin to live for the only giver of the true understanding of LIFE, Jesus Christ. May God bless you all.

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! “For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counselor?” “Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him?” For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:33-36)
