Christians Falsely So-Called

To us who self-proclaim to be Christians. To be a Christian literally means to be a follower of Christ and to be Christ-like. This definition has been diluted across time especially in current day to conform to many social acceptances. It is time my people really understand the implications of playing around with salvation. It is this simple: you are either for Christ or for the devil, you are either with Him or you are His enemy, you are either in the World or in the Word, you are either striving for salvation or for condemnation (see James 4:4).

In my study of scripture, I find that God has NO pleasure in the “half way there” Christian. Matthew 7 says many will say “Lord, Lord” and God will say He doesn’t know them and to depart for Him and Matthew 25 says many of the “unprepared” will be shut out of the marriage ceremony between Christ and the Church and He will again say He doesn’t know them. It is time to break the chains of ignorance that plagues this nation. Contrary to popular belief, you cannot accept Christ and continue to live a life riddled with lasciviousness and vice. If you have really accepted our Savior your spiritual man would be transformed. But the Bible says my people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge (see Hosea 4:6) and that could not be any more than the truth. Do you know Revelation says that those who are “on the fence” Christians (lukewarm) will be spit out of His mouth because they were neither hot nor cold (see Revelation 3: 15-16)? Do you know the Bible says it is worse for those to have come to the knowledge of God to turn from the holy commandment? The Bible says that the dog is turned to his own vomit again (see 2 Peter 2: 20-22)! God is serious about these things and despises the sin that reigns over “Christians” falsely so-called.

It is time to wake up and understand that through a genuine love of God His Will changes us. Christ set the example and a model of how we are supposed to live as Christians. We literally have to give ourselves away presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice because it is our reasonable service (see Romans 12:1). It is time to no longer be selfish, but rather be selfless. Please read one of the four gospels of Christ and take notes and attempt to emulate the actions of Christ. His Will is that all should come to repentance and none should perish (see 2 Peter 3:9) thus there is much work to do and indeed Christ says the harvest is plentiful but the labors are few (see Matthew 9:37). Christ shows us the importance of prayer, fasting, baptism, sacrifice, altruism, love, chastity, soundness of mind, rejection of temporary pleasures, and the false security that wealth brings. To expand on that last point, Christ says it is harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle (see Matthew 19:24). Additionally, Christ says we cannot serve two masters because we will love the one and hate the other so we cannot serve both God and money (see Matthew 6:24)!

I love you all and sincerely desire that we all develop a passion to read the Word and study to show ourselves approved unto God by rightly dividing the word of Truth like it says in 2Timothy 2:15. In the Bible the men in Berea are called noble because they checked the scriptures to see if what they were being taught was true (see Acts 17: 10-11). I urge you now to be like those noble men, check all of the scripture I have laid out for you and see if what I am saying is true (it would behoove you to read them in full context). Make the transition from lukewarm to on fire for God and watch the fruits of the spirit: peace, love, and joy (see Galatians 5: 22-23) become manifested within you. Peace and blessings to all.
